STUDIOS Architecture
An early introduction to complex commercial buildings through an internship at Studios Architecture. My contribution to the Broadway & Houston project included work on floor plans, renderings and presentations, supporting the team’s design development and communication.
CHALLENGE
Understand how a large commercial project develops across multiple scales, from the organization of floor plans to the presentation of the overall design. The work required learning to communicate architectural ideas clearly within an established project team.
PROCESS
I assisted with floor plans, produced renderings and helped prepare presentation materials under the direction of the design team. These tasks provided firsthand experience of how drawings and visual studies inform decisions and communicate a developing proposal.
OUTCOME
A formative experience in commercial architecture that established an early foundation in spatial planning, visualization and collaborative practice. The project introduced me to the coordination and rigor involved in developing complex buildings.
