Jewelry Display Case

A custom display case developed as both a functional object and a carefully composed setting for the presentation of jewelry.
CHALLENGE
To reconcile the practical requirements of display, access, security, and fabrication with an object that maintained a clear and deliberate architectural presence.
PROCESS
The design was developed iteratively through hand drawing, physical modeling, and fabrication studies, allowing proportion, construction, and the relationship between displayed objects and enclosure to be tested before fabrication.
OUTCOME
A display object in which structure, enclosure, and presentation are resolved as a single piece rather than as separate functional components.
