Client

J.M. Weston / Joseph Dirand Architecture

Lighting design for J.M. Weston’s Champs-Élysées boutique, bringing attention to the footwear and the interior that frames it. As part of L’Observatoire International’s lighting design team, I contributed to the project’s development.

CHALLENGE

Balance focused product illumination with a comfortable, cohesive atmosphere. Light needed to reveal the texture, color and finish of the collections while respecting the architecture and supporting the customer’s experience throughout the boutique.

PROCESS

The team developed the relationship between merchandise displays, ambient illumination and architectural details. The approach balanced visual emphasis with continuity, integrating lighting into the overall interior.

OUTCOME

A retail environment in which lighting supports both close examination of the product and the experience of the space. The design brings together attention to craftsmanship, architectural integration and a consistent atmosphere throughout the boutique.
